Family Weekend Workshop:
Saturday & Sunday
This program provides family members and loved ones with the skills and tools necessary to begin their own healing process and develop their own resiliency. this program is an intensive weekend that includes experience with group work, lectures and presentations addressing various dynamics of the disease.
Ms. Hatcher, and her family, were fiercely ambushed by her son’s insidious disease – drug addiction. At one point, he was facing a lengthy jail term due to possession and distribution of a controlled substance – not his first felony. She hopes the writing of her book will compel other families to step out of the shadows, acknowledge their private pain and seek support.
James McNinch earned his master’s degree in social work from Arizona State University. There he researched the origins of traumatic stress related to childhood attachment style as a Fulbright Scholar Candidate. James holds an associate clinical license, is trained in evidence-based treatment modalities by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), and has received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma therapy.
Lane Rust was instrumental in launching the Spearhead Lodge program. As the Executive Director, he mentors clients, leads groups and oversees the daily operations of the program. His enthusiasm and dedication to the recovery process is integral to the culture of Spearhead. Lane has worked in the recovery field since 2010, when he began his career as a Recovery Manager.
