North Carolina Men’s Addiction Treatment Program
The Blanchard Institute is proud to offer family-focused, professional care for men who are experiencing the difficulties of substance use and the mental health disorders that so often come with it.
Men’s Addiction Treatment Center That Works
At the Blanchard Institute, we know from experience what men need to recover from substance use and co-occurring mental disorders. We also know that these needs can be very different from the needs of our female clients. That’s why we offer evidence-based drug and alcohol programs designed especially for men. We find individualized, gender-specific treatment plans are the most effective way to guide men to a sober, productive, and rewarding life. We have noticed that men have an extra level of community and develop camaraderie when they participate in groups together. The level of honesty increases almost immediately and treatment progress and results tend to happen with less friction.
Levels of Care at Our North Carolina Men’s Addiction Treatment Center
All of our men’s addiction treatment programs use a whole health approach to drug and alcohol recovery. This entails understanding and treating the whole person, not just the symptoms they present. We use this approach for one simple reason– it’s the best way to guide our male clients toward a satisfying long term recovery.
True recovery is only possible when the mind, body, and spirit are in perfect alignment. That’s why our men’s addiction treatment programs work where so many others have failed. Our treatment programs are individualized and effective.
Here are the levels of care the Blanchard Institute’s Men’s Addiction Program offers:
- Partial Hospitalization Program
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
- Outpatient Program
- Recovery Management Techniques
Men’s Day Treatment or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Blanchard’s Men’s Day Treatment (PHP) provides the full spectrum of clinical and emotional support for our male clients. Our Day Treatment sessions run Monday through Friday from 8:45 am-4 pm. While participating in these sessions, our male clients will be guided through a variety of treatment modalities that are proven to work.
As with all of our programs, we employ a holistic, integrative approach to our Men’s Day Treatment modalities. These include methods such as:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT
- Life Skills Training
- Creative Art Therapy
- Recovery Yoga
While enrolled in Day Treatment, men and women will participate in co-ed educational lectures, but the bulk of their process groups will be gender-specific.
Men’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The Blanchard Institute’s Men’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers educational sessions and therapeutic support to men suffering from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Usually, IOP lasts from between 8-10 weeks, with clients attending approximately three sessions a week.
IOP clients participate in group and individual therapy sessions. Although some of the more educational sessions are often co-ed, our male IOP clients will participate in gender-specific process groups as well. This mixture provides the best of both worlds. Men can learn about those aspects of addiction and mental health disorders that all genders tend to share, but they can process more intimate or gender-specific issues in private or all male groups.
This program is designed to help our male clients step down from Intensive Outpatient as seamlessly as possible. It meets twice a week and is designed to teach new recovery skills as clients transition back into the inevitable challenge of the outside world.
Recovery Management Program
The Blanchard Institute’s therapeutic and social support don’t end when our clients leave our facility. Through our Recovery Management Program, all of our clients can continue to access clinical and social support long after their time at the Blanchard Institute has ended.
Our Recovery Management Program is designed to help men transition back into the healthy parts of their former life. This includes things like family, work, and continued education. The program begins after the client has ‘graduated’ from a primary treatment program and has started to practice the Relapse Prevention plan they helped design during IOP or Day Treatment.
Specialized Care at Our North Carolina Men’s Addiction Treatment Center
Despite important areas of overlap, men and women suffer from addiction differently. As such, every one of our clients needs gender-specific care. They also need to feel safe, comfortable, and supported. Fortunately, this is exactly the kind of care that The Blanchard Institute delivers to every client who walks through our door.
Make no mistake about it– addiction is a progressive and fatal disease. Without help, you or your loved on is likely to progress further and further into the pain that substance use disorder inevitably causes. But that’s why the Blanchard Institute exists– to guide our clients out of chaotic substance use and towards a fulfilling recovery.
If you or someone you love is trapped in the endless pain of addiction, we encourage you to contact us right away.. Get in touch with one of our representatives today and give yourself the gift of long-term relief.
