Outpatient Detox Program

Overcoming the physical component of addiction can often be the most difficult step in the recovery process.  The Outpatient Detox Support we offer at The Blanchard Institute can help you overcome a physical drug or alcohol dependence through the use of a number of Medically Assisted Treatments (MATS).

Vivitrol Treatment

One of the most effective of these is the Vivitrol treatment. Administered once a month, Vivitrol works to reduce the physical withdrawal symptoms and cravings associated with long-term alcohol and opioid use.

Suboxone Treatment

Effective for opioid dependence, Suboxone combines buprenorphine, a synthetic opioid with minimal euphoric effects, with naloxone, an opioid antagonist, to help control withdrawal symptoms while making other opioids less effective. Suboxone can also be used to wean clients off of opioids. Unlike methadone, it can be taken at home, thus reducing the number of clinical visits.

Our Outpatient Detox Support combines these drugs with structured treatment and cognitive therapies in a controlled environment. Together, these resources give clients the tools they need to abstain from drug use and begin the recovery process. Detox clients are monitored closely and receive professional medical care as needed by outside physicians.
