At The Blanchard Institute, Referring Professionals Are Part of the Team

Addiction is a complex disease, requiring a concerted treatment effort involving patients, their loved ones, primary care providers, and all other relevant healthcare professionals.

At The Blanchard Institute, family members and referring professionals are considered part of the treatment team. We believe in inclusion and collaboration when it comes to caring for our clients.

Founder and CEO Ward Blanchard wanted the institute to be more than just another treatment clinic. “Right from the start, we knew our three main customers were going to be identified patients, their families, and professionals. That’s how we came up with the institute concept.”

If you’re a psychologist, medical doctor, or other treatment provider who would like to refer a patient to treatment for a substance use disorder or other mental health issues, Blanchard could be a great option. Ideally—with the client’s permission—we would like to obtain any relevant information from you about your patient to be utilized in the treatment and recovery process.

DUAL ACCREDITATION

The Blanchard Institute is dually accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the Joint Commission, making us one of only a few “dually accredited” providers on the East Coast. We hold ourselves to the highest industry standards of comprehensive care and dedication to every patient and their family seeking our support.

WE WORK WITH YOU

Referring professionals receive a weekly update on their patients from our team. “Referring professionals are considered a part of the clinical team,” says Blanchard. “We believe in inclusion and collaboration in the care of clients.” We look forward to being your partner throughout the client’s recovery journey.

We value our relationship with other professionals and look forward to working with you to get your client started down the road to recovery. We are both Blue Cross Build Shield Preferred Providers and Magellan Preferred Providers and accept additional insurance plans for your convenience.

Our continuum of care includes a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), regular outpatient treatment, recovery management (RM), and a withdrawal management program. We provide the structure, support, and education that clients and their families need for long-term recovery. The Blanchard program also features:

  • Continued collaboration between treatment providers and referring professionals
  • Frequent family support groups
  • An intensive family workshop weekend.
